Survival horror fans are in for a treat when the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming console finally comes. Along with the announcement, Capcom revealed their shot at the 3DS with Resident Evil: Revelations.

Revelations uses the same engine that powers other games such as Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5. Simply put, this makes Revelations "graphical quality comparable to consoles." The trailer below is a good sample, but since it's not known if the secenes are in-engine or pre-rendered, we should all hold our horses.

Nintendo is set for another HUGE launch with the Nintendo 3DS. The announcement was a success, gamers are all buzzing about the 3DS, and the initial list of games is pretty impressive.

Although the list below is long, it's still just a partial list. Who knows what other titles will pop-up before actual launch??! Several games worth mentioning are "Paper Mario," "Star Fox 64 3D," "CODENAME: Chocobo Racing," and "Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy." Yup, that's an Assassin's Creed game on the Nintendo DS!

Nintendo recently filed a couple of trademarks that would confirm that the Nintendo 3DS will remain named as such. If you may remember, it was speculated before that the new handheld from Nintendo will undergo a name change before it was announced.

It was reported that Nintendo registered Japanese trademarks for "Nintendo 3DS," "N3DS," "3DSPlay" and "3DSWare." Also, it's quite interesting to see what Nintendo will do with 3DSPlay, as it does not exist yet from current Nintendo services.

Japanese newspapers Asahi and Nikkei recently reported exciting rumors concerning the upcoming Nintendo 3DS. Asahi claims that the 3DS will use a "parallax barrier LCD" by Sharp. Nikkei supports this and said that each screen will measure approximately four inches diagonally across. It is also rumored to feature a "3D control stick."

All excxiting rumors if you ask us. One thing is for certain though - all question will be answered this coming E3 2010 when the Nintendo 3DS makes its appearance!

Nintendo Japan recently announced via a press release on their website their new handheld console, the Nintendo 3DS. Equipped with hardware and software that are capable of rendering "3D efects" without the use of special glasses, the Nintendo 3DS is also backwards compatible with games from its predecessors, the Nintendo DS and DSi. The new handheld is expected to be released "during the fiscal year ending March 2011" or simply within the next year.

Although there are no official word yet about the 3DS, more information will soon be available on E3 2010 this coming June.
